FLEETWATCH® Repairer Martin Williams Ltd re-confirms long term PPG Industries Paint Supply Agreement

Martin Williams Ltd, one of the UK’s leading Commercial Vehicle Accident Repair Centres and PPG FLEETWATCH® partner are pleased to announce a renewal of a 5 year product supply agreement with their chosen paint partner PPG Industries.

All products will be supplied through BROWN BROTHERS® Distribution (A PPG Group company).

This news compliments a £1.1 million investment in their state of the art facility doubling the capacity to 50,000 sq. ft. The investment incorporates 2 of the latest USI Italia Cargo energy efficient low bake commercial vehicle spray booths, measuring 23 metres long they are some of the biggest booths in Europe. The booths can be segregated allowing them to throughput 4 vehicles at any one time. Martin Williams have also introduced a purpose built mixing room complete with PPG and NEXA AUTOCOLOR® Commercial Vehicle paint schemes, housing the latest Colour IT from PPG Industries including TOUCHMIX® mixing station and RAPIDMATCH X-5 spectrophotometer.

Having established themselves as a market leader in commercial vehicle accident repair and maintenance Martin Williams Ltd has grown to design and manufacture commercial vehicle bodies. In response to increasing demand and continued success an extra 25 staff have been recruited in the last 6 months significantly increasing the capacity and efficiency of the business.

Martin Williams Ltd is still a family run business, headed up by Martin and his two sons Nick and Chris they have an 85 strong team of dedicated paint sprayers, panel beaters, body builders and mechanics All paint staff have undergone training in PPG and Nexa Autocolor Commercial Vehicle paint systems at PPG Industries Training Centre in Stowmarket, Suffolk to ensure all technicians are following the latest repair processes to maximise throughput of high quality repairs.

Reducing cycle time is paramount. The recent investment in partnership with PPG helps us to deliver this” commented Martin.

The future looks extremely bright for Martin Williams Ltd as they also diversify the business. The investment at Martin Williams Ltd has also seen the development of a new larger Vehicle Body Building Facility, complete with full VOSA approved maintenance areas, which has increased production capacity of the business from 600 to over 1000 vehicles per year. All this is complimented with an in house vehicle signwriting area making Martin Williams Ltd the only true one stop commercial shop in the UK.
